September STRONG Award

Melissa Swart-Weikel
Recognized for Steadiness, Transparency, and Growth
Steadiness
Melissa Swart-Weikel has set her routine, and she sticks to it. She is in the gym Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 7:45am, the earliest class. If she has a trip planned, an unexpected delay, she lets us know. She sends pictures.

Transparency
When Melissa started at STRONG, she was intimidated, but she started anyway. When she reached an exercise she was unfamiliar with, she tried it anyway. There was often a "sorry I'm so uncoordinated" or a "I don't know what I'm doing wrong," but she always listened to coaching tips, corrected, asked for clarification, and double checked with the trainers. That is how she has continued to increase her strength and her confidence.
Growth
Melissa now works out five times a week when she can fit it in her schedule between traveling, visiting family, and spending time with the grandchildren. She joins her friends in her 7:45am class and has branched out, adding pilates and yoga into her schedule.
When first mentioning these new classes, she was unsure, she reported back she was concerned about not knowing what she was doing. However, she has continued going, she has continued showing up - doing something new, doing something uncomfortable, doing something hard, has not stopped Melissa.
Why It Matters
We all know she will continue to build more confidence and more strength as she continues to show up, take ownership, and push herself to new standards.
Great work Melissa!
Together, we are capable. Together, we are STRONG.
